Axis Newco, LLC specializes in manufacturing and renting power generation equipment. In this case, they were renting out Mitsubishi generators and had limited control over fuel quality during the rental period. They faced several challenges:
- They were experiencing short filter life which was reducing efficiency and capping maintenance intervals at 200 hours
- A different filtration solution was written into the original specification, and they were facing delivery and inventory issues causing project delays
- Other fuel water separator products were difficult to source in a timely manner
- Low control over the fuel used while equipment was out on lease could cause damage to the equipment

Axis Newco partnered with DAVCO dealer Fleet Supply Warehouse to address these issues. Fleet Supply Warehouse provided two free test units, which performed exceptionally well. To fit the space requirements of their packages, they placed two Industrial Pro® 681 Short Single units back-to-back, creating a custom duplexing system, operating much like the Industrial Pro® 682 Short Duplex. Based on this success, Axis Newco transitioned to DAVCO fuel filtration and water separation solutions and has continued to purchase the Industrial Pro® Short Single, Industrial Pro® Short Duplex, and Diesel Pro® 243 units ever since, based on space allotted in the package.
Results
Since launching this new partnership, Axis Newco has been able to double their service intervals from 200 to 400 hours, reducing downtime and costs and seeing superior protection against contamination. DAVCO has met all delivery and inventory requirements, eliminating delays and helping Axis Newco meet their customer delivery dates.
